Last weeks review of Total Gym Workout usage and RESULTS!

Previously I just played with my Total Gym. Then I was faced with fitting it into my life, the tricky part.

Only managed it 2 times last week: Including using 2 of the 3 Ab Crunch exercises each time.
Results:
Before; Bust 44 – Waist 37 – Gut 42 - Hips 40 to 41 inches
After Bust 43.75 – Waist 34.75 – Gut 42 – Hips 40.75 inches
NOTE the 2.5 inches off my waist after just 2 workouts!

Actually, my gut area, even though its measurement did not change, felt so much firmer, I starting wearing a panty style that, in recent years, the waist band rolls down upon sitting, normally. This time it did not, until this am.

I only worked out Saturday 5/7 and Wednesday 5/11 last week!

In playing with it I found immediate lace of back pain and other general achiness. I concentrated mostly on back, chest, core and combination exercises. I figured I would get around to tackling my unhealthy 37 inch waist and 42 inch gut later.

Not So! I got my Total Gym with a bunch of attachments, and I am glad I did. One is the Ab Crunch attachment, which came with at DVD. UGH. I never have time to watch a DVD…

Feeling that, no matter how Feel Good the back, chest, core and combo exercises are for me, I must fit in a remedy for the unhealthy waistline and gut!

Imagine my relief / surprise to find, upon opening the Ab Crunch Workout DVD
A Booklet
Featuring only 3 beginner, and more advanced, Ab Crunching exercises!
And I could only manage 2 of them. One is called the pike, which, perhaps, I can manage later.

Even so, After only 2 workouts, including:
  • Only 30 repetitions of the 2 ab exercises, (ok, one of them has a left and right side, so its more like 30 reps of 3 separate exercises)
  • Some core, and / or combination exercises
  • Some back, chest, arm and shoulder exercises
These are very encouraging results!

Fitting it in this week will be harder, owing to events, but I do feel very motivated to do so!

Help! What Women’s size Sneaker will last more than a month on a Tom Boy?

A wear issue: Easy Tone Sneakers, which have a fairly well built up sole, last about 4 to 6 weeks on my 11 year old, tom boy / Fashionista daughter, who wears a women’s size 8.5 or 9.

She put on 4/6/11 and has worn them for everything, except rollerblading, are totally worn at all but the under the arch. Her sneakers already have extremely worn at the toes.

She swears she does not use them as brakes for her bike, but how else does one wear out the very toes? Her bike breaks are fine, and I have watched her ride, using the handle brakes, while she did not know I was watching.

It is nice that they started out, and remain, comfy, but what in the world do I replace them with??

Easy Tone wear on an adult woman

Looking at my records, I, who walk in them, have had my Easy Tone, Hi top, Reebok sneakers about a month. Mine have a an ever so slight wear at the outer edge of one heel.

The Easy Tone flip flops, I have had much longer, but only wear in doors, and have no wear to speak of.

How do you wear out the very ends of your sneakers’ toes?

If anyone knows of a long wear women’s sneaker, PLEASE COMMENT HERE AND TELL ME WHICH ONE IT IS!

Thank you!

Two Women’s Easy Tone Reebok sneakers

I ordered these Easy Tone Reenew sneakers while back,
EasyTone Reenew
They came in swiftly, within a week of ordering. Upon my opening their box, my 11-year-old daughter, (part Tom boy, part Fashionista), got them on before I did.

She certainly needed sneakers. Hers, which were new in September of 2010, were holey and worn out by March.

For fashion’s sake, she wanted Converse. Like me, she has a high arch. I was relieved she wanted the Reeboks, I felt she would get the arch support she really needs with these, rather than Converse, or other simple, pretty flat canvas sneakers.

The Converse she wanted had pretty low stats for arch support in reviews at Zappos.

She did let me try them on and, (she has worn women’s size 9 boots), they fit me loosely. I did order them in a women’s 8.5. They fit her fine. They felt fine to me otherwise, except I could step right out of them. Well I have no heel to speak of, but then neither does she…

She has been wearing them for weeks, as her main daily shoe. She shows no sign of letting me have them back.

I can only assume they are being fine sneakers for running, climbing, playing of all kinds, and are not dead yet. Durability is a real issue for my child. She is hard on footwear and clothes.

Also, these days, she never hesitates to complain. Her Reeboks are one thing she has yet to complain about! Yippee!

Knowing that I could not wear them anyway, without wearing 2 pairs of socks, I was thinking of getting a size smaller, looking at the other Easy Tone sneakers...when

I saw these Easy Tone Freestyle Hi sneakers. Having worn traditional Reebok Freestyle Hi sneakers, (and they still have them, in classic black and white!), for years, (in the 80s and 90s), and loved them, I went for it.
EasyTone Freestyle Hi

These also came within a week of ordering, with a nice extra pair of near pink magenta shoe laces too! A pleasant surprise!

I ordered them in a size 8.5. They still felt pretty loose, but in a boot style, it does not matter. In fact, it does mean I can wear two pairs of, or very thick socks in the cold weather with these!

I believe I have had them for about, or almost, a month now, wear them daily and am very happy with them!

So the up shot of this is:
For me anyway,
  • Easy Tone sneakers run a bit large
  • Excellent arch support
  • Super Comfortable

So far, they also seem durable. Perhaps I should use their current 40% Off deal to find out if their women’s apparel is as durable on my daughter. As luck would have it, she prefers knit pants, will not even try on jeans. I can get her a pair of slacks on Tuesday, only to see them with holes in them by Friday…

It may be worth checking out at 40% off!
